JOURNEY THROUGH SPACE

Commissioned by UMHAT for Infectious and Parasitic Diseases “Prof. Ivan Kirov” Sofia, this project aimed to transform the children’s ward into a brighter, more welcoming environment. The murals were designed to reduce the sterile feeling of the hospital corridors and bring a sense of comfort and imagination to young patients, while also creating a more uplifting atmosphere for the medical staff.

At the entrance to the ward, the elevator lobby sets the tone with a vibrant cosmic theme. Journey Through Space was designed to replace the anxiety of arrival with a sense of wonder and excitement — a “wow” moment for children entering the ward. The mural demonstrates the transformative power of art in healthcare spaces, turning sterile surroundings into uplifting experiences for both patients and staff.
